Want kelimesi istemek anlamına gelir.Want ingilizcede istediklerimizi belirtmekte kullanılır.

 

EXAMPLE:

 I want to drink milk.

 I want to eat hamburger

 I want to go ta the Brazil.

 They want to play baskeball.

 They want to run.

 You want to read a book.

 

Want kelimesi I,YOU,WE,THEY kelimeleri ile kullanıldığında herhangi bir ek almaz.Fakat HE,SHE,IT kelimeleri ile birlikte kullanıldığında want kelimesine "s" eki getirilir.

 

EXAMPLE:

 He wants to eat pizza.

 He wants to drive a car. 

 She wants to sleep.

 She wants to play guitar.

 Gördüğümüz örneklerde want kelimesi to ile beraber kullanılmıştır.Ama want kelimesi hep to ile

 birlikte kullanılmaz.to sadece fiiller varken gelir.Direk ad söylenirken gelmez.

NEGATIVES

Vermiş olduğumuz örneklerin hepsi olumlu idi.Want ile ilgili cümlelirin hepsi her zaman olumlu olmayabilir Şimdi want kelimesinin negatifini inceleyelim.

 

 EXAMPLE:

  I don't want to sleep.

  I don't want to play computer games.

  I don't want to ride a bike.

  He doesn't want to run.

  He doesn't want to visit her friens.

  She doesnt want to eat ice-cream.

 Görmüş olduğumuz gibi I,YOU,WE,THEY ile don't want to, HE,SHE,IT ile doesn't want to kullanılır.
